天翼观点

The Legend of CEIBS tells you the success story of Asia's No. 1 business school.

内容简介

The year 2009 marks the 15th anniversary of the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS). Since its founding in 1994 as a China-Europe joint venture in business education, CEIBS has achieved spectacular success. According to the 2009 Global Business School Rankings released by the Financial Times, CEIBS‘s MBA program ranked No.8, the top performer in Asia for six years; its EDP ranking broke into the top 20; and its EMBA, which has been among the world’s top 50 for eight years, came in at No.26.

CEIBS owes its current success to a small group of people who gave it their all. The founders, both Chinese and expatriate, devoted themselves to showing the way in a country bereft of business knowledge and often unfamiliar with even the concept of management. CEIBS‘s remarkable achievement is also an extraordinary case study in itself. Its commercial- style governance, business model, strategic positioning, choice and maintenance of target markets, and experience-driven marketing, as well as its continual stream of new course offerings while maintaining rigorous quality and corporate identity standards, are worthy of mention in the same breath as any company success story.

The Legend of CEIBS, written by one of the three original Chinese founders,  the former director of the EDP Program, Mr. Li Yueqing, show you the initial establishment struggles of CEIBS, an inspiring read on how to build a successful world-class organization and an excellent showcase of the spirit of close cooperation between eastern and western academicians.
